Dr Richard Favero is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the leading mobile enterprise messaging and wireless application infrastructure provider SOPRANO Design Pty Ltd. Richard is recognised as an industry thought leader for the adoption of mobile messaging to automate business and communication processes within enterprise and government customers.
Richard has over 20 years experience in telecommunications covering wireline switching, intelligent networks, mobile networks and mobile value added services. Soprano was founded in 1994 and Richard has been instrumental in driving Soprano technology through this rapid technology change from network appliance to “Software as a Service”.
Richard provides high-level strategic consulting services for technology adoption, strategy and corporate impacts of technology to blue chip Australian companies and commercialisation services to early stage technology companies. He rapidly digests complex and specific domain expertise to create innovative solutions grounded in his telecommunications deployment experience.
Richard is a director and early investor of several technology companies spanning financial services, software and biotechnology.
Prior to forming Soprano, Richard worked with Optus as Lead IN Architect and Telstra Corporation as Project Manager and Software Team Leader. Richard holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (Hons1) from the University of New South Wales Australia. |
