Soprano joins IBM’s SPDE Framework to provide Enterprise SMS & MMS Messaging Solutions to Mobile Operators

Soprano Design, leaders in Enterprise SMS and MMS Messaging Solutions, today announced the completion of validation for the SOPRANO Mobile Enterprise Messaging Suite (MEMS) into the IBM Service Provider Delivery Environment (SPDE) Framework.

The SOPRANO Mobile Enterprise Messaging Suite (MEMS) provides a unique proposition for Mobile Operators accelerating Enterprise and Business messaging revenue with value-added SMS, MMS and Email messaging applications. Enterprise and Government customers benefit through the automation and streamlining of common business and communication interactions with customers, suppliers and staff.

IBM’s Service Provider Delivery Environment (SPDE) framework provides an industry framework based on telecom and IT standards that leverage IBM software products, IBM services and business partner applications such as SOPRANO MEMS to help Mobile Network Operators meet today’s market imperatives and exploit emerging opportunities. Through a comprehensive validation process, IBM and its business partners ensure interoperability of applications with the SPDE Framework.

“Mobile Enterprise Messaging is one of the fastest growing revenue segments for Mobile Operators. Soprano’s inclusion into IBM’s SPDE framework makes it easier for Mobile Operators to acquire and provide value-added SMS and MMS Enterprise Messaging Solutions to their Enterprise and Government customers than ever before.” Said Peter Cleary, Product Manager Soprano Design. “Inclusion in the SPDE Framework alongside Motorola, Amdocs and Juniper is recognition of the value that Soprano can provide to mobile operators.”
