Soprano Design Mobilises Communications for Accor Hotels

Australian software developer Soprano Design has installed its leading SOPRANO Corporate Gateway Platform (CGP) in Accor hotels throughout Australia to manage their mobile data communications. The SOPRANO CGP is a mobile messaging infrastructure platform enabling organisations to adopt and fully control two-way mobile messaging (Text, MMS) communications.

The SOPRANO CGP solution for Accor provides a mobile messaging solution that ports customers email bookings from Accor’s Fidelio booking system into SOPRANO CGP which delivers confirmation SMS to the customer. Customer’s replies are sent directly back into SOPRANO CGP and delivered to Fidelio and sent to the relevant hotel ensuring instant and accurate bookings.

Accor Asia Pacific is the leading hotel group in Australia, managing over 100 hotels under its international brands including Sofitel, Novotel, Mercure, All Seasons, Ibis and Formule 1.

“The SOPRANO CGP product provides Accor with a mobile messaging solution that enables the company to embrace mobile communications. Accor is abreast of all forms of contact: face-to-face, phone, fax, email, Internet and now also mobile. The messaging platform is reliable and scalable for the future which ensures a seamless and timely move into mobile communications,” said Jacques Seidenberg, General Manager IT&T, Accor Asia Pacific.

“The SOPRANO CGP messaging platform product allows the Accor Hotel Group to exploit the power of the mobile data channel by integrating proven SOPRANO mobile messaging technology into their communications mix. The solution gives tourism and hospitality organisations the ability to dramatically improve operational efficiency and guarantee the flow of information,” said Tom Scahill, Sales Director, Soprano Design.
