Soprano Expands ISO 27001:2013 Certification across US, LATAM and Asia

We are excited to share we have expanded the scope of our ISO 27001 certification to continue selfguarding our customers’ data. In addition to being certified in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and UK, the certification scope now also covers Soprano’s operations in the US, LATAM and Asia.

ISO 27001 is one of the leading international standards focused on information security. It’s one of the few standards that uses a top-down and risk-based approach to assess and evaluate the information security processes of businesses. This standard identifies requirements and specifications for a comprehensive Information Security Management System (ISMS), defining how an organization should manage and treat information more securely, including applicable security controls.

We are taking a proactive approach to protect customers from security risks, including new types of fraud like Smishing, SIM swapping, SMS traffic pumping and more. This international certification is proof of our commitment to information security and plays an important role in assuring customer’s data is safe, secured and protected.

In order to expand this certification, our compliance was assessed and validated by an independent auditor. After demonstrating an ongoing and systematic approach to managing and protecting company and customer data, the audit review was completed with demonstrating compliance.

Maintaining and expanding its ISO 27001 certification evidences Soprano established operational and IT methodologies and a frameworks across its global business to help identify, manage, and reduce risks to associated with sensitive information.
