SYDNEY (Dec. 4, 2014) – Soprano Design, a leading global provider of mobile messaging technology, was recognised with a Communications award at the recent 2014 Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The Communications Award is presented to the most innovative information and communications technology (ICT) solution in the Asia Pacific region.

The application must be developed specifically for the communications industry.

Nominations are judged on criteria that include market potential, quality of work, and uniqueness.

SOPRANO GAMMA, a highly secure, enterprise-grade mobile messaging solution, provides the world’s first integrated application that delivers exciting IP-based interactive messaging while uniquely preserving SMS capabilities for last-mile coverage.

Simplicity at the front and sophistication underneath are the defining characteristics of SOPRANO GAMMA’s technology. Mobile users experience a simple, intuitive messaging UI while the powerful enterprise-grade features of encryption, integration, and SMS backup are active and remain out of the user’s way.

“We are extremely proud to earn this prestigious award in the highly competitive Asian region” said Horden Wiltshire, CEO of Soprano Design.

“On the heels of our Appsters award in Europe, this honour reinforces that SOPRANO GAMMA is a uniquely innovative and secure technology that meets global enterprise mobile messaging customer demand.

“The APICTA Award further validates the relevance of SOPRANO GAMMA for the Asian telecommunications sector and provides visibility for us in Asia for enterprise customers that are seeking an interactive mobile messaging solution.”

SOPRANO GAMMA was previously named one of Australia’s top three new technologies of 2014 in the Australian iAwards, which recognise and reward the information and communications technology (ICT) innovations that have the potential to have a positive impact on the community – at home, in the office and on a global scale. The product also received the UK 2014 Appster award.
