Winning an award is always fun, especially when you’re being named one of the top enterprise messaging products in Australia. But it’s about more than bragging rights or a pretty paperweight.

Here are two reasons we’re excited about our iAward – and you might be, too.

Proving our mettle

The competition for this award was fierce. Hundreds of products were submitted and competed at the regional levels earlier this year, and only 20 advanced to the finals in the new product category. This means that the Merit Recipient award places SOPRANO GAMMA in an elite class of innovation coming out of Australia.

That kind of competition keeps us on our toes, and ensures that we keep coming up with great ideas and new features that really help IT administrators and end users communicate.

Getting the word out

Like any small company, we’re always happy to talk about what we do. That’s not just about building our own business, though – we’re so convinced of the value of products like SOPRANO GAMMA that we want everyone to know.

“Historically, Soprano Design has kept a relatively low profile,” says Wiltshire. “A lot of people would be surprised to know that we’re actually a global company today. We have a presence in seven or eight different countries around the world.

“It’s a great Australian success story, but we’ve traditionally flown below the radar. So the iAwards are a great opportunity for us to show the world the great innovative stuff that the team is building out and delivering to customers, and we look at it as a great opportunity to increase our profile in Australia and around the world.
